We at eDEN Garden Rooms have been building bespoke garden studios for almost a decade, and as well as recognising the importance of a high-quality finish, we also know it’s vital that a customer can put their own unique stamp on their garden room.
That’s why, on top of our already high standard specification, we also offer a huge variety of ways that an eDEN Garden Rooms customer can personalise and tailor their space to create something entirely one-of-a-kind. As you’ll see from our gallery, no two eDEN Garden Rooms are designed the same, and here are just a few of the ways in which you can put your personality and style into your new garden building…
Dimensions and Layout
Unlikely many ‘off-the-shelf’ garden rooms suppliers, we don’t believe that one size fits all, so every garden room is made-to-measure. That means, we can make the absolute best use of the space you have available, and build to your exact dimensions.
This may mean working to an L-shaped garden room scheme, or tailoring decking or storage sections to suit a tricky space, however, this is all in a day’s work for eDEN and we delight in creating garden rooms that fit with your garden – not the other way around! Following a site survey, our team will create bespoke designs and layouts for you to consider, along with detailed quotations.
Glazing
Your choice of windows and doors can completely change the style and aesthetic of your garden room, so it’s our job to design a space that is complimentary to your landscaping, sun light, and how you intend to use the space. We include as standard within our pricing one set of French or sliding aluminium-framed, double-glazed doors, but you may wish to get creative with the glazing and create a statement feature.
From popular bi-fold doors, to dual-aspect corner windows, or grand floor-to-ceiling windows, glazing selection and positioning can help either provide extra privacy, or indeed create a more open, social space. Windows and doors can be upgraded to triple glazing, or even acoustic treated if required, and the smart aluminium frames are available in a variety of colours, which can also be matched to the fascia styling to bring the whole aesthetic together.
Partition walls and extra rooms
You may have a garden room in mind for a very specific use, such as for work, or it may be intended as more of a multi-functional space. Many customers also have storage in mind, particularly when a garden room is replacing an old shed, so an integrated shed store is a hugely popular feature to create an aesthetically-pleasing storage solution, with just a keyhole in the cedar cladding giving away its hidden location.
Similarly, if a garden room is to have multiple uses, bathroom facilities are also often requested, giving the room scope to be used in more diverse ways in the future and acting as an additional selling point if the time to move house ever arose. Toilets and shower rooms are features we will frequently build into garden room schemes, and the complexity and cost of this will usually depend on several factors, including the length and gradient of the garden, and the garden room site’s proximity to waste and water connections.
External Finish
It’s often the finishing touches that add the most personal flair, and when it comes to the exterior of the garden room, the same applies. From bespoke hardwood decking, to beautiful hand-crafted steps, there are an abundance of ways you can add your own style to your garden room. And whilst a locally-milled premium cedar cladding is our standard cladding option, experimenting with the direction of the cladding, or adding tailor-made screens, fascia features or canopies can be another excellent way of tailoring a garden studio to suit your taste and style.
As you can see, our garden room build teams are incredibly skilled joiners, and the attention to detail on these features really does elevate the finish of a garden room to another level.
Air Conditioning, Sedum Roofs, Kitchenettes and much more!
And of course, we don’t stop there! The list of ways we can tailor your garden room really are endless, from alternative heating and cooling with an air conditioning system, to integrated desks, shelving or kitchenettes; if you can imagine it, we can build it!
Sedum and wildflower meadow roofs are a popular addition, creating a floral feature on top of your garden room and providing pleasant views onto the garden from elevated windows. It’s important to keep in mind that these living roofs do require some extra reinforcement, so all garden rooms which include this will be over the standard 2.5m height and will likely need planning permission.
So, as you can see, there really is no limit to the ways in which eDEN Garden Rooms can tailor your space, giving you the opportunity to create something entirely unique and special for your garden.
