Building a bespoke office in your garden is a great way to add a functional space (and potentially an additional selling point) to your home. But in these strange times, when our homes have also become permanent workplaces for many of us, many garden office studios have also become an integral space for a small business to operate from.
Home garden office enquiries have soared in the past year, and account for a huge proportion of the tailormade garden studios that we design and build in the South East of the UK. Having built hundreds of garden offices with built in storage, electricity and internet, we know the important features that all businesses, freelancers or homeworkers need in order to work productively and successfully from home. And because no two businesses (or gardens) are the same, our bespoke approach means taking the time to listen to our customers, allowing us to understand their unique business needs and design a space that suits.
As a small, famimly run business ourselves, it’s a pleasure to reflect back on the numerous garden studio builds in London, Kent, Surrey and beyond that we have completed in recent years. We are extremely proud of the way we have enabled our clients to create a peaceful, productive space to run their businesses, and wanted to take a moment to celebrate the ways their businesses have thrived from their garden office studios.
We recently caught up with a handful of our past clients to hear how working from a garden room has changed their business, and are delighted to share their stories of success in our ‘Spotlight on Small Businesses’ campaign…
Our first business in the spotlight is this stunning garden music studio for our client who runs a music production company. He is now onto his second eDEN after moving house, and tells us that he can’t imagine running his business from anywhere else. Read Alan’s small business story.
We then had the pleasure of speaking to Simon, owner of consultancy business Purposeful Change who had previously worked abroad on alternate weeks. Simon told us how a last-minute garden room slot helped him to create a home broadcast hub, and double his business’s turnover within a year. Read Simon’s small business story.
Next up, we spent time getting to know Daren’s accountancy business, which has allowed him to re-invent his working week, reach new customers, and create a perfect balance between home and work life. Read Daren’s small business story.
Finally, we caught up with Kathy, owner of The Boutique Gym, Whitstable, who we worked with the design an entirely bespoke home gym for her growing PT business. Read Kathy’s small business story.
